The projects that AHSECA aimed to complete were identified during the onsite evaluation process which took place
in May 2008. During that visit, we acknowledged the urgent needs and we decided on how to respond to the requests. During the evaluation process, AHSECA narrowed the most urgent needs to school books, reading books, office supplies, clothes and toys. This request is currently greatly satisfied. Indeed, in January 2009, a 20’ container was sent from France to Conakry through Antwerp in Belgium on the boat “Manx Lion”; it arrived at Conakry on February 2nd. Onboard, one year collection of articles for the 1300 schoolchilds of Farmoriah, and the 200 schoolchilds of Barenfory in Guinea-Conakry. The following articles were sent and distributed to the schoolchilds, to the teachers and to the community health centre:
