ACHIEVEMENTS

AHSECA (Humanitarian Action for Health, Education, and Culture in Africa-HAHECA) is the result of individual initiatives carried out by one HAHECA member and his spouse in the village of Farmoriah, in the Republic of Guinea.
Some of these initiatives, among others, have given young people access to:
  • Soccer equipment for two teams: stud shoes, jerseys, shorts, socks, balls, air pumps, training shoes and sports bags. This equipment was given directly to the youngsters of the village in 2006 in the presence of the local authorities

  • Volleyball equipment and volleyball court for two female teams: construction of a 360m² court, posts and nets, sneakers, jerseys, shorts, balls, air pumps, and sports bags. All of this equipment was presented to the girls of the village in 2007, also in the presence of the local authorities.

From this point forward, it is our intention to extend our spheres of activity to the schools of the two villages (Farmoriah and Barenfory in Guinea Conakry) and to other domains of social life.
AHSECA is committed to fundraising to finance the implementation of projects which would significantly improve the everyday life of the children in the two target villages mentioned above.

The next project consists of sending a container with school books, reading books, clothes, and toys before the end of 2008. The implementation of this first AHSECA initiative will be followed by others which will ensue from the following objectives:
  • Creation of health centers
  • Realization of water supplies and drilling
  • Renovation and building of latrines
  • Project to supply school stationery
  • Creation of libraries
  • Project to supply reading books
  • Project to provide fencing to surround school establishments
  • Creation of staff rooms for the teachers
  • Enhancement of cultural activities
