Who are we?

Established in 2008, AHSECA is the work of a few volunteer friends, determined to provide support to people in Africa who really need it.

These helps are expressed through material, financial and human resources for education, public health and culture for the people of Africa.

The means for education are primarily for children of school age or in difficulty because it is through education that development solidifies; public health and cultural resources are directly deployed to local populations by members of the association.

From the 7 billion people worldwide in 2013, Africa counts over 1 billion, representing 15% of the world's population.

Half of Africa's population is under 17 versus 23 year old globally. Added to this, family policy is almost non-existent and half of the people are living below the poverty line (less than 1.5 euro / day).

It was obvious to us to put our focus on the children, the "future of Africa".

West Africa is our priority area (see map below).

It includes countries such as Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, or Senegal.

However, the Republic of Guinea (former French colony) is the first country in which we started our actions. It is also located in West Africa, it consists of 4 main regions.

Lower Guinea is the region we are focusing our efforts on. It is the key region of the country and the one where the capital Conakry is situated.

Population: Circa 11 000 000
Capitale: Conakry
Official language: French
Currency: Franc guinéen (GNF)
National holiday: 02nd of October
Religion: Christianism, Islam et Animism

This country is located on the west coast of West Africa on a coastline of 300km (in purple). Guinea is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal and Mali to the north, Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia to the east, Liberia and Sierra Leone South.

Other countries will subsequently be supported.

But we like to do things right and to focus on one at a time. Our journey starts in Guinea.
